Getting Car Insurance is probably thee most important thing when it comes to looking after your car. But how do you make sure which cover is the right one for you and your vehicle? On we offer the best, most affordable quotes when it comes to Car Insurance.

Why do I need Car Insurance?

In the event of anything happening to you or your car, have you considered where the finance is going to come from to pay for the damage? Say, for instance, you are in a car accident and you don’t have the necessary funds available to cover the damage to the vehicles involved and the medical bills of the people who’re involved then Car Insurance would be ideal. Also, it offers peace of mind knowing that should anything happen that you will be covered.

What are the types of Car Insurance that is available?

There are 3 main types of Car Insurance to choose from.

  1. Comprehensive Car Insurance offers all-inclusive cover against theft, hijacking, loss or damage to the vehicle, arson as well as natural disasters. Should you be responsible for damage to the vehicle of a third party then you will also be covered under Comprehensive Car Insurance. This is also the most expensive of the 3 available covers.
  2. Third party, fire and theft insurance does not protect you for accidental damage however you will be covered for any damage you cause to a third parties’ vehicle. This insurance only covers you in the event of your car being lost or damaged due to hijacking, theft or arson.
  3. Third party only insurance provides cover should you damage the vehicle of a third party and also covers you for accidental death or injury of any of the third parties involved in the accident. This is the cheaper cover of the three.

What does Car Insurance companies look at before they offer you cover?

There are a couple of things that insurers look at when working out premiums. The most important of these things is the make, model and how old the vehicle is. Another thing they take into account is mileage – they base a portion of the price on how much you drive the insured vehicle per year. Other factors include your age, job description, where you live and whether or not the car is parked in- or outside where you live.

What are some of the benefits included in my Car Insurance?

In the unfortunate event of you being involved in an accident would you be able to request roadside assistance? Will a rental car be made available to you should you be without a car? Is legal advice included should you need any? These are the type of questions that you need to ask when taking out Car Insurance.

As with any other types of insurance it’s best to shop around before you decide to take out the insurance. By doing thorough research you can save yourself a lot of money on Car Insurance.
